You’ll be guided step‑by‑step by the instructor, learning how to shape wool, attach felted pieces securely, and add adorable details that bring your gnome to life. No prior experience is needed — this workshop is perfect for first‑time felters and anyone who enjoys creative, relaxing craft time. By the end of class, you’ll leave with a finished holiday gnome ready to display, gift, or treasure.

Materials Fee

There is a $20 materials fee (not included in the tuition) that must be paid to the instructor during the first class.

Facilitator

Christine Hsiao is a fiber artist and instructor specializing in needle felting. She holds a Master’s degree in New Media from the New York Institute of Technology and brings a contemporary lens to traditional craft.

Christine has taught fiber arts at institutions such as the Art School at Demarest and Montclair Adult School has led needle felting workshops at libraries across New Jersey, including Wyckoff, Ramsey, Franklin Lakes, Tenafly, and others.
