Let’s Make Vegan Coquito for the Holidays!

Want to make coquito, the holiday Puerto Rican elixir of the gods? In this interactive class, you'll learn about the history of coquito and make a vegan version with fellow participants. Instructor Michael Aquino will guide you through creating this creamy holiday drink, which is both dairy-free and egg-free. We'll be making an alcohol-free version, but 21+ participants are welcome to bring their own rum if they would like to add some to their own bottle! (White rum recommended.) Everyone will go home with their own bottle of coquito and maybe the start of a new holiday tradition.

Facilitator

Michael Aquino co-founded Cocotazo Media, which produces fiction podcasts, music, and educational audio resources. He is also an award-winning sound designer, composer, musician, audio producer, and performer. For the past decade, many Essex County residents have happily sipped Miguelito's Coquito during the holidays.
